Photographs and Images

The Eden Valley Museum has more than 4,000 photographs, paintings and drawings in its collection. The majority are historical images from the first half of the 20th century or earlier including c.400 images donated to the museum by Alan Dell in 2000. More recent images relate to special events in the Valley or comprise special collections donated to the museum including c.300 in the Roy Coles Hop-Picking Collection.

Through a collaboration with the Kent Photo Archive an ever increasing number of our images are being made available online with special categories such as cricket ball making, hop picking and the tannery being drawn together.
