Friday,1st February - Sunday, 4th May, 2008   High Street History and Mill Leat Hoard
The Eden Valley Museum opened on the 1st February with a special exhibitionabout the changing High Street and all of the items dug out of the Mill Leat during the High Street renovations.
This display has been created in recognition of the Edenbridge 2008 Project which draws to its conclusion at the end of March this year. The collection of photos is based on an exhibition mounted in 2003/2004 called `Were You Being Served?’ A history of shops and shopping in Edenbridge. Other views from the museum collection have been added. The Museum will be open from 2 – 4.30 pm on Sunday 30th March to coincide with the Town Council end of project celebrations

NEW ACQUISITIONS - A collection of photographs of local scenes in Edenbridge and the surrounding villages taken between 1941 and 1957 now on display in the museum.

Wednesday, 19th March 2008 to 14th September  A Tudor Drama
Following the recent release of the film, ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’, this exhibition will highlight the many local connections with Henry VIII and the Boleyns. On display will be screen shots from the movie, the costumes for Henry VIII and his six wives used in a recent local production, and the score and images from an amateur opera performed at Hever Castle in the 1970s, plus much more.

Wednesday, 4th June to Saturday, 20th December 2008   Schooldays Exhibition
An exhibition tracing the history of our local schools, both state and private. Many photographs and objects have been loaned by local people to enhance relevant images and objects in our permanent collections. Come and see if you can recognise relatives, or tell us about your school experiences, be they good, bad, funny or fearful!

A three course Scottish dinner with entertainment and licensed bar in Rickards Hall and Eden Valley Museum.

Garden walkabout with children's treasure trail and ploughman's lunch. Admission £8.50, children £2.50 (EVMT members £7.50).

...after it's annual spring clean and updating of displays. Come and visit the museum with its new extended shop area. The front door to the main street was opened last year so it has never been easier to pop in.

Saturday, 17th February 2007 - 'Coffee Morning Fundraiser'
This Coffee Morning - 10.30 till 13.00 - will relaunch the 'All Good Sports' exhibition after the museum's Christmas break. This event will be opened by John Surtees, the world famous motor cyclist and racing car driver, who will sign autographs.

Wednesday, 25th April 2007 to Sunday, 27th May 2007- Art Exhibition - 'All Good Sports'
This art exhibition and competition will run concurrently with the main sports exhibition. The winners will be voted for by visitors to the exhibition.

Thursday, 31st May 2007   2-4pm: Children's Half-term Holiday Activity - Miniature Gardens
More colourful creative fun. This activity is suitable for children of all ages, but children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult(Free Entry). There is no need to book, just arrive early to avoid disappointment. Cost - £2.50 per child.

26 children attended in the afternoon and had great fun making their gardens with the large variety of miniature items provided.

Saturday, 30th June 2007   Evening Garden Opening - 6 to 8pm
Mr & Mrs John Lloyd kindly agreed to open their gardens at Edenbridge House from 6 - 8pm as a fund raising evening for Eden Valley Museum.
Cost of tickets was £6.00 for members and £8.00 for guests to include a glass of wine and canapes.
Tickets were available from the Museum and Edenbridge Bookshop from mid May
Despite the very poor weather conditions this event was well supported. The gardens were in excellent condition and much enjoyed by everyone although umbrellas were in use most of the time. Our grateful thanks to Mr & Mrs Lloyd.

Saturday, 8th September 2007 - Michaelmas Fair
10am until Noon - Stalls in the morning only with White Elephant, Books (including CD's, DVD's and Videos), Plants and Produce and also the Museum Shop. There will be Town Trail guided walks in the afternoon at 3pm and 4pm
Morning coffee, light lunches will be served in Rickards Hall.

Wednesday, 27th September 2006 to Sunday, 30th September 2007 - 'All Good Sports'
An exhibition showing the various sports that were and are popular in the Eden Valley area.
It is currently featuring the Nomads Football Club; Edenbridge Bowling Club and the Hever Rifle Club. This is an ongoing exhibition to which Stoolball, Judo and Cricket will have been added.

Tuesday, 16th October 2007 - Exhibition Opening Night of 'Hurricane Havoc' at 7.30 pm in Rickards Hall
The Exhibition will be opened by BOB OGLEY with 'A Night to Remember' - a talk about the night and aftermath of the Great Storm of 1987.
Tickets - £8.50 and £7.50 for museum members. Tickets include light refreshments and a glass of wine and Private View of this new exhibition in the museum.

Thursday, 6th December 2007 6 - 8pm - Christmas Late Night Shopping Event
The Eden Valley Museum is supporting the Edenbridge late night Christmas shopping event by staying open until 8pm. From 6pm we will be serving mulled wine and mince pies to our visitors. For Christmas gifts with a touch of nostalgia, for adults and children, visit the museum shop.

Wednesday, 17th October 2007 to Saturday, 22nd December 2007 - 'Hurricane Havoc'
Exhibition commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Great Storm of October 1987. Through personal stories, film and photographs the hurricane is graphically illustrated. Leaf rubbings and other children’s activities are included and a duplicate version of the main display upstairs is available in book form on the ground floor.

Sunday, 3rd September - 'Village Visit - Two Gardens and Markbeech history'
Meet at Markbeech Village Hall at 5pm to visit the gardens of Falconhurst and Edells. A cup of tea will be provided as you arrive in the gardens. Should you wish you can take the woodland path joining the two gardens; admire the medieval Hole Cottage in its romantic woodland setting and see the tunnel, scene of the Railway Riots.
At about 7pm light refreshments and a glass of wine will be available in the Village Hall where Tim Boyle, author of 'Markbeech, the Unknown Village' will give a short talk.
Tickets before the day from the Museum or Edenbridge Bookshop - £5 members, £6 non-members

Saturday, 9th September and Sunday, 10th September - Heritage Open Weekend
The museum will be participating in the national Heritage Open Days and will be open during the normal Saturday and Sunday hours.
On Saturday there will be a 'Michaelmas Fair' with stalls selling cakes, produce, plants etc. Also a raffle and tombola.

Wednesday, 21st June to Sunday, 17th September - Summer Exhibition - 'Our Great Neighbours'
This exhibition will be 'A Snapshot of Local Grand Houses' giving an insight into the history of the houses, occupants over the years and many other interesting details which we hope will encourage you to visit and enjoy the houses and gardens.

Saturday, 7th October 2006 - Faversham - A visit to the town and museum
The museum has organised a visit to Faversham by coach leaving the Edenbridge Leisure Centre at 9.15am to return about 5.00. Cost for members - £14.00 and guests - £16.00. There will be an optional guided walk of about 1 1/2 hours at £3.00 per person. Booking forms can be obtained from Eden Valley Museum.

Saturday, 2nd December 2006 - Christmas Late Night Shopping
The museum will be open until 6.30 pm. The museum shop will have will have a wide selection of stocking fillers for sale.

From 1pm till 6pm there will be a craft table for children to make Christmas decorations, crackers and cards for 50p per item. Children under 8 must be accompanied by and adult.

Monday, 4th December 2006 - Film Evening by Screen Archive South East
Showing old film of the McIndoe Centre in the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead together with other newly discovered footage. Rickards Hall at 7.30pm. Tickets £6.00 obtainable at the Museum or at Edenbridge Book Shop (from 6th November). Price includes wine and mince pies. Christmas raffle on the night.
